The last two days have
been weird, as Jo, Marie and Doug decided to stay a bit longer to have time
to use internet, update their blog, write and be together. The atmosphere is different, we know that it is the end, our laughs are not as loud, we speak less, our evenings are quiet.
But we are a
group of solo travellers, four people who are usually alone on the road, occasionally sharing with others, only following their will. Four free
spirits, who came here to give a bit of their time and who received so
much more. But we gave the time so it is the first thing which becomes missing
and they have to leave me here.
We enjoyed a lot being together in this very comfortable life, we were existing for each other
but we have to travel to live (inspired by G. Nadaud). As I will have to
do soon, they have to keep going. Going a bit further, meeting new
people, trekking, volunteering somewhere else, lifting a thumb up to hitch a
ride...
It is hard to say goodbye, harder than usual for
me. Doug is the first to leave, we all wake up early to have breakfast
with him. We laugh as usual with Doug, he is going to do the O, a
trek here, I might see him again but it is not sure. I promise to let
him know when I will in Canada...
Goodbye Doug, I'm going to miss your jokes, and your crazy stories...
I have to go to work, Marie and Jo packed their stuff and will leave after the lunch, this time came so quickly.
They are waiting for the last shuttle, we joke about missing the departure and staying here until Christmas... 2016 !!!
Finally they have to go.
Goodbye Jo, I'm already missing your laugh and your spontaneity, see you in Cambridge.
Thank
you and goodbye Marie, we met each other on a lot of values and I am going to miss our talking and our silence. See you maybe once or twice
before the end of our trip.

Thank you guys, we
will have forever our morning songs, our first horse ride in Patagonia, Doug's pictures, Sub's haircut and so much more...
We are not going to be all together again but I will keep us for a while all together with me.

Marie left us messages, and she forgot her towel, Doug has some stuff here and Jo sent us a picture of THE bench...
I'm
not waking up anyone the day after, Hugues the new volunteer, Sub, and
two Americans girls are sleepig in the dome. My first breakfast alone... We
have some eggs, sorry guys ! As a sign, my device runs out of battery, no
morning song...

But slowly nostalgia
replaces sadness, and hope nostalgia. Soon I will be on the
road, but for the moment, Marie, my horse who always wants to eat, is
waiting for me. I have to go to work, in a national park in Patagonia... And hope gives way to happiness !!!

Call me Ben the Gaucho!!! HYYYYYHAAAAAAA

My life is awesome !!!
